My new blog, A follow would mean so much.

With the CRED Foundation I'm going to Thailand to help the refugees of Myanmar (Burma) and to help raise awareness and help fundraise I am writing a new blog as a diary. It will cover my every thought and action to do with Thailand from first finding out about the trip to the repercussions after I come home. Please follow, recommend and help me make sure I can do my part in the world.

Thank you, Laura xxx

P.S - Here's a video of the foundations previous trip to Thailand, helping the inspirational Karen People.

If your looking for swimwear...

Whether it be for a winter break or in preparation for the summer months ahead pretty swimwear is a must. I'm currently obsessed with Topshops collection. It's a nice little mix of retro inspired and modern nautical swimwear with enough pieces to suit all shapes and sizes. My personal favourite is the purple one piece because of its 50's pin up style - showing that sometimes more really is more and can be just as sexy as a two-piece. I also really love the kaftan as the colour is awesome and paired with sandals will make a brilliant boho look. Anyway that's my verdict, for me this year Toppers is sizzling right now - I can't wait for summer.

Photo Editing - Crack-a-lackin.

For my media course I have to create a film concept and marketing. Here, my friends Sasha has bravely posed for me in a Black Swan Style Poster for my film 'Fall From Grace'. I edited with GIMP 2 which is 100% free and 100% awesome using a layer mask and two separate images. Anyway, its not perfect, but it gets the whole broken girl metaphor out there. Hoorah for pessimism and darkness.

Vienna Part One.

Vienna, Austria. Population: 1.7 million. Number of lost British college kids: 33.
And there I was. Vienna, a crazy beautiful city which I got the pleasure of visiting with my college last month. The city has a Parisian feel to it, with such gorgeous architecture that you never know what beauty will be  behind the corner, waiting to jump out at you and attack your eyes with fluid lines and Gothic structures. One of my favourites was Stephansplatz, the geographical centre of Vienna and home to the Stephansdom or in English, Saint Stephens Cathedral. The roof of this Roman Catholic Cathedral is a sea of pattern, with gold, blue, green and white mixing to create a geometric cocktail that delights the eyes - it truly is a wonder. Inside is just as glorious and decadent and should definitely be viewed, it gives you a true sense of Vienna.

Some Exciting News. . .

While I've been extremely quiet lately, I've recently had some amazing news.

Tucked away in Truro, Cornwall, cargoclothing.com  has been bubbling under the radar for a couple of years. It's excellent costumer service and beautiful stock has resulted its website becoming increasingly popular. This was where I purchased a jewel encrusted, sapphire blue evening gown by Sherri Hill (See it here) as it was the only shop in the UK that stocked this beautiful creation. I wore this to my end of school prom, where it was extremely comfortable, light and gorgeous. I definitely felt like the best version of myself, and received lots of lovely compliments. It has since been my honour to be named their 2010 Prom Queen, which has been such a delight as its also touching to know that even if I didn't, someone else thought I looked nice. My winnings include a feature on their site and £200 worth of vouchers, so expect to see some posts of me in my new digs soon. I would highly recommend this site if your looking for a dress, whether its for your prom or a black tie event, your shopping experience will be impeccable. Even though some of the dresses seem a little 'American Teen', it's worth it as you can find some real gems, such as my beautiful evening dress, which conjures a smile every time I look at it. Ah, the power of clothes.
